Job Description
- Role: Portfolio Analyst
- Experience Range: 3-5 years
- Location: Mumbai / Delhi / Bengaluru
Waterfield Advisors is one of the largest independent Multi-Family Offices in India, currently managing an AUM of over $4.5 billion. At the core of our business lies the Investment Advisory function which we are expanding to include advisors and portfolio managers.
Roles and Responsibility
- To assist Senior RM in managing client relationships. This includes dealing with the client and the family office staff of the clients, assisting and following up with the investment team with deliverables, execution of deployment plans, setting up meetings /calls with clients, third-party product manufacturers, etc.
- To work closely with the Advisory team on a day-to-day basis to understand and disseminate the Advisory put out by the team – across all asset classes.
- Manage and meet client expectations and objectives as described in the engagement letter and scope of services.
- Liaise with various departments within Waterfield to share appropriate information with the client.
- To identify/expand the scope of work of the relationship based on the client's needs working across asset classes.
- Provide regular status reports on a client deliverable.
- Synthesize results of analyses into customized, audience-appropriate reports and presentation materials.
- Coordinate with both internal departments and external partners to source investment advisory and accounting data needed to build customized reports.
- To provide solutions to clients beyond investments and wealth management, in areas such as Philanthropy, Succession Planning including Trust and estate planning, family constitution, mentoring the next generation, providing education roadmaps, designing and implementation of stand operation procedures at the client’s office, recruiting talent for the client family office, etc. Work closely with all teams to create and disseminate such reports.
- Maintain timely, accurate and complete client relationship management administration tasks as determined by the business. Ensure the execution of team processes, such as pre-call planning, post-call debriefs and relationship reviews.
- Monitoring of client’s deliverables as finalized in the scope of services. Monitoring client portfolio’s on a daily basis and suggesting churn as and when required.
- Participates in special projects, and strategic department initiatives, and other duties as assigned.
- Setting up meetings as and when required for the senior RMs and MD & CEO.

- Ownership of client needs regarding service, investment, portfolio and problem resolution issues, with clear responsibility to escalate issues as appropriate within the team
- Ability to interact with all levels of management and business partners
- Strong understanding of the Investment Advisory process – spread over multiple asset classes.
- Partner with Senior RMs to build the business and provide service and support functions such as portfolio analysis, and client/prospect meeting preparation
- Strong PC skills, including proficiency with word processing, presentations and spreadsheets as well as the ability to learn and use custom applications and systems
