Manager / Senior Manager – Operations / Services

Location: Mumbai, Delhi & Pune | Experience: 5 to 12 years

Objective of the role

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the accurate and timely management of client portfolios through meticulous data entry, reconciliation, and report generation. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining high standards of data accuracy, addressing client queries promptly, and coordinating with various teams to ensure seamless operations. This role demands a strong focus on compliance, effective communication, and the ability to handle routine operational tasks efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the Operations team at Waterfield.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Data entry - update client portfolio on a monthly basis as per agreed timeline and quality standards.
  • Reconciliation on a monthly basis. Generate final and accurate month-end statements after reconciliation portfolio with Mutual Fund/CAS/Demat Statement or data received from the client within set timeframes.
  • Check scheme & benchmark returns in the report.
  • Identify gaps in statements, data received and liaise with the Service team or Relationship Manager to gather desired information for timely deliverables and closure of the portfolio.
  • Respond to queries or data requirements raised by stakeholders within the agreed defined guidelines and timeframe.
  • Liaise with the Listed & Unlisted team before updating security like PE/VC fund, AIF, etc., for better clarity & updating correct details in the portfolio.
  • Provide relevant reports required by the Investments team for risk appraisals or analysis.
  • Act as a single point of contact for various activities/ tasks allocated in client portfolios. Follow the organisation’s standard protocol and align with all necessary compliances and procedural requirements.
  • Update daily, timely & error-free prices of securities (BSE, NSE, MF) & Benchmark.
  • Non-receipt of price data/feeds/error or gaps should be immediately highlighted to avoid any errors in the portfolio statement.
  • Ensure all price data/feeds are received from the vendor, and any errors in files are promptly highlighted to them on the same day.
  • Execute all corporate actions for Mutual Fund & Equity schemes.
  • Update all masters received from vendors as per the standard process.
  • Run Asset performance & Interest Accrual process as desired, on a need basis.
  • Hygiene check tasks for clients and taking to closure (Updation of RIA, Email ID, Nominee, etc.)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Knowledge of client needs and business requirements.
  • Ability to work hard and smart, and use various tools for more accurate and easier access of data
  • Thorough in data management and accuracy and detail orientation.
