Senior Portfolio Manager - Fixed Income

The role is expected to implement our strategy across client portfolios in line with clients’ portfolio guidelines, risk, and compliance guidelines. Discretionary portfolio managers oversee investment decisions and client portfolio performance in their area of coverage.

Roles and Responsibility

Manage assigned funds to outperform performance benchmark in a risk aware manner.
Remain compliant with the firm's risk framework and adhere to wider regulatory requirements.
Ensure proper planning and timely execution of fixed income trades.
Plan and execute trades on clients’ behalf on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
Monitor investment universe to identify investment opportunities aligned with our investment strategy.
Collaborate across teams to develop new investment strategies and provide recommendations in line with the firm's investment process
Investment mandate permitting, make tactical investment decisions utilising rates and credit strategies on behalf of firm’s clients.
Monitor market risk and exposures and generate regular reporting on underlying exposure across mandates.
Mentor Junior fund managers/analysts.
Work and communicate with relationship managers on fixed income outlook and portfolio actions taken by the fund management team.
Participate in external meetings, engaging with clients and delivering the firm's view.
Participate in any related investment project by the business.
Submit weekly performance & risk compliance reports to Head of Practice.
Prepare individual investment thesis on all the issuers/debt fund managers that form part of the instrument/manager shortlists.

Preferred Skills

Experience in active management of fixed income portfolios or experience in fixed income product management with expertise in manager selection analysis (> 5 years track record). Total experience of minimum 10 + years in the FI Domain.
Excellent understanding of rates & credit and strong understanding of micro & macroeconomic concepts.
Knowledge of portfolio management principles and techniques like portfolio laddering, bar-bell etc.
Master's degree in Economics/Finance or any related discipline would be an advantage. CFA charter would be a plus
Familiarity with Bloomberg, Excel is a must. Data analysis and programming skills are an advantage.
Good understanding of UHNI Wealth Management.

Good interpersonal skills with a team player attitude.
